Ludwig Durability and Sound
If a snare drum could be a hit maker, the Ludwig Supraphonic snare drum would be it. The bright, crisp sound of this professionals’ choice performs great in the studio or at live events. The chrome plated seamless aluminum shell produces classic snare crack in combination with rich resonant depth. The superb responsiveness of the snare is enhanced with the triple-flanged hoops. This versatile drum offers the right sound for jazz to pop, rock, metal, and classic rock. Look for imperial or tube lubes, and a shell finish that is smooth or hammered. The Supraphonic snare drum is available in standard 5X14 and 6.5X14 models. A 6.5X14 is also available with a super sensitive strainer.
